
Mark Hollinshead
C.E.O.
Mark is the CEO and founder of Hollicom. Most of Mark’s career to date has been spent working in media. He sat on the board of FTSE 250 company Trinity Mirror Plc (now Reach Plc) as COO responsible for some of the most famous news brands in the UK. He has also been MD of Mirror Group Newspapers and at 36 was the youngest ever MD of the Daily Record and Sunday Mail. He works on communication strategy development for all Hollicom clients. Mark is also a former Chair of Scottish Athletics. He’s run nine marathons and admits that the tenth is probably not going to happen. The head is willing but the body refuses.

Steve Simpson
C.F.O.
Steve is the CFO and co-founder of Hollicom. A chartered accountant, Steve worked for PWC Newcastle before moving into industry and senior roles in manufacturing and engineering in North East England. Over his career to date he has participated in a number of corporate deals before growing each of the businesses and completing successful exits. As well as Finance, he is responsible for IT , HR and assisting with strategic development of the business. Steve loves golf and skiing, but regularly loses his ball in the snow!

Rachel Lindsay
Client Services Director
Rachel began her career in TV production but a move to London agency Launch is where she found her passion for PR and honed her skills. Since then Rachel has worked on the media strategies and relations for many of the UK’s most loved brands including charities such as The Royal British Legion and Comic Relief. On her days off Rachel can be found chasing after her two year old daughter in one of Glasgow’s beautiful parks. She has addiction to buying scatter cushions and likes to unwind with a glass of dry rosé blush.

Allan Rennie
Associate Director
Journalist Allan Rennie is one of the UK’s most experienced media executives, having risen from junior reporter to edit two national newspapers. He also served as editorial director of Trinity Mirror’s national titles (now Reach PLC) and was managing director of Scotland’s largest commercial digital publisher. An accomplished public speaker, Allan blogs on tech disruption and the media and is a regular BBC commentator. He is Honorary Professor of Media Studies at the University of Stirling.

Katie has almost a decade of experience in communications, starting her career in museums and heritage with National Trust for Scotland, before embarking on seven years in broadcast and digital media at Scotland’s best watched TV channel, STV. She worked as a feature writer and social media producer, before joining STV’s in-house marketing agency, where she successfully led key campaigns, producing on-air promos, cinema trailers, radio and outdoor advertising. She joined Hollicom in early 2020 bringing a passion for storytelling, brand development and pickles (on everything) to the team.

Becca previously worked as a Digital Marketing Manager for a group of Glasgow’s best-known hospitality venues. A young entrepreneur, Becca set up her own business focusing on social media management, photography and content creation. This allowed her to develop a portfolio of hospitality, beauty, wellness and corporate clients. Becca specialises in social media and content creation and is passionate about all aspects of brand development. She enjoys her time off adventuring around Scotland with her young family, trying out the latest vegan food Glasgow has to offer or chasing down highland cows for the perfect close-up.

Siannon is a visual artist and content creator. A graduate from Glasgow School of Art with a first class degree in Fine Art, Painting and Print Making, she brings an informed eye and creative styling to social media marketing. She developed her craft as a freelance social media manager within the hospitality and sports sectors. In her spare time Siannon curates traders events as one of the team behind Glasgow’s much-loved Park Lane Market, where she collaborates with fellow artists and musicians. With an increasingly expensive manicure habit, she has landed the coveted role of resident Hollicom hand model.

Jack Mercer
Social Media Content Creator
Jack Mercer is a Glasgow School of Art graduate specialising in documentary, fashion, lifestyle photography and graphic design. He moved to Scotland from London in 2015 as he fell in love with Scotland’s rugged landscapes, where he developed a photography style which best captures the raw beauty of Scottish materials and textures. Jack has worked with brands including Ted Baker, Cos and Ryan James Studios. Prior to joining Hollicom, he worked inhouse for a leading Scottish architect firm where he honed his skills in digital marketing and content creation. In his spare time Jack often works on personal projects or can be found in the kitchen cooking something to photograph (and then devour!)
